Where Maligator World Gets Its Inspiration
People ask where we come up with the ideas for Maligator World™.
The answer is pretty simple: we live with Malinois.
The inspiration is everywhere.
It’s the tennis ball that somehow became the most valuable object in the house. The pacing at the door because you’re three minutes late for training. The suspicious silence from the other room. The shredded toy that was advertised as “indestructible.” The nose prints on the windows, the fur in places fur shouldn’t be, and the dog staring at you like you’re the one who needs better training.
Some designs come from working dogs doing what they were bred to do: detection, tracking, protection, obedience, and that unmistakable intensity when a Malinois has a job.
Others come from the complete chaos of simply living with one.
We also pay attention to the Malinois community. The jokes Malinois owners make, the stories handlers tell, the things that only make sense once you’ve shared your life with one of these dogs. A lot of our ideas begin with a moment that makes us think, “Every Malinois owner is going to understand this.”
That’s what we want Maligator World to feel like.
Not generic dog merchandise with a Malinois slapped on it. Pieces inspired by the actual dogs, the working-dog world, and the strange, exhausting, hilarious culture that comes with loving them.
